BACK IN IRELAND
Spent the last week back in Ireland doing a Southern tour. Last minute decision that proved worthwhile. Met some really great people, some of whom I intend to keep in touch with. Already planning a weekend away in Paris. Oh the joys of European travel... Had this Irish tourdriver named Don who was pretty funny. The Irish are such great people. Naturally by day we saw the sights and whatever and by night we boozed up. Few people from Melbourne as well as some girls from West Aussie and New Zealand proved to be heaps of fun and great company. Majority were female on this trip. Can't say i had anything to complain about there. Two nights in Dublin after the tour to kick on with the others and wind down. I love that city.
I'm still feeling I'll from the news in New York. I'll never forget that day i think. Was in Glendore in the country's west. As we headed into a pub we noticed everyone sitting around the television in the corner. At first it was like a movie. The towers had been struck by hijacked planes and as we watched the television in silence and shock the towers fell down before our eyes. Surreal is a good word i suppose. Tragic and unfair probably a better description. We were supposed to spend some 20 minutes at that pub. Ended up being 2 hours.
